Firefox has done it again! It just crashed while I was submitting a lenghty post on “Future of PDAs”. It always crashed when you need it!

Someone give me a better browser please? Does any good web browser exist at all?

Update: Firefox 1.5.0.2 released to address some stability and security issues.

haha! update your extensions ;-) kidding

For the same reason, I tried Opera for a while, but its strange rendering and JS support made me return to old Firefox again.

yeah, other browsers are all crap. Either move to IE7 or stick with your Firefox. I agree with Ehsan on updating your extensions and also disabling those that you don’t really need. FF 1.5.0.2, released today, and it fixes some of the crashes. It looks more stable to me: http://www.squarefree.com/burningedge/releases/1.5.0.2.html

I havent really noticed any crashing issues with FF recently. The only thing I run into is rendering issues when viewing a Microsoft site (MSNBC, etc), go figure. I suspect this is because of Microsoft’s lack of W3 coding standards, however.

  5. Have you ever tried epiphany? the rendering engine is gecko, and I’ve never had crash or something.
